Highschool Campout

Photobucket

Last night we had our highschool campout which is a yearly tradition that we have amongst us highschool students. It was organized by our student council. We were all grouped into four teams: air force, army, navy, and marines. I happened to be part of the Air Force which was a group I absolutely LOVED. I had so much fun with the group and we were definitely able to show teamwork.

Some of the activities we had were the cheering contest, corn-eating contest, water balloon fight, obstacle course race, and a team race which was similar to that of Amazing Race. I was only able to take pictures of the cheering though since I participated in the other games.

and last but not the least.. the AIR FORCE!!!

At the end of the night, the Air Force ended up winning first place along with the Marines. After the awarding, we all headed for the bonfire.

Once the bonfire kind of died down, some of the seniors and I decided to bond with the sophomores. We were talking about, well, Marga's life. Hahahaha! But anyway, the seniors started leaving one by one to sleep till I was the only one left with the sophomores. I didnt wanna sleep that night so I decided that I'd stay with them. I spent the night then, listening to their stories concerning all these people which I must say was very entertaining. We were all too loud at a certain point during the night which resulted to a tention between us and the other campers. It was really funny though cause we were planning all these schemes against them.

It was almost sunrise and we were still around talking. I felt like dozing off so I eventually took a nap. I asked the sophomores who werent planning on sleeping to just wake me up instead when the sun was rising. They called me 10 minutes after. So yes, I slept for that long.

The above picture is us putting our plan into action. HAHAHAHA! Maris said we looked like we were in a refugee camp. =))

Anyway, eventually the sun was up and everyone else woke up. We all fixed up until the sun was already shining so brightly. Thus, the campout ended. I really had so much fun in this campout and I most especially enjoyed the amazing race which was dead fun (Going up to the 3rd floor of the academic building and being surprised by a white lady, anyone?). It just really sucks that the other seniors werent able to stay up with me. Its the our last campout so I wanted all the seniors to make the most out of it but they all ended up sleeping :( I'm definitely going to miss campout and my sophomores! I love you guys! :)

Strong Shoulders

Had lunch at Johnny Rockets with la familia today followed by a movie afterwards. Food at Johnny Rockets was yumyumyum! They have the best burger with caramelized onions!! I could definitely taste the sweetness of the onions and it was cooked just right. As for the philly steak, I've tasted better. Dad doesnt wanna go back though. He is very picky when it comes to food so certain restaurants would be considered very lucky if my dad likes them.

We went to watch 2012 after lunch which in my opinion, was Noah's Ark of the 21st century. It was veerryy long and it got pretty draggy but kudos to them anyway for the spectacular effects.

As for the outfit, I've been very lazy to dress up lately which is why I seem pretty casual today. Cheerdancing has given me a lot of bruises especially on my knees so my outfits for the past week were all leggings and I actually wore jeans just to cover up for the bruises. I still actually have some bruises now but they're not as bad as before so I today I decided that I can already wear shorts. Today I finally wore my strong shouldered blazer out. The first time I wore it was for a photoshoot so I'm glad I was finally able to use it today!

What I Wore: Shirt from Forever21, Blazer from Graxie, Shorts from Buffalo, Shoes from Nike, Bag from Charles and Keith.

TREND

..a girl's guide to eternal fashion and style.

This was our project for home economics. We were to make a fashion magazine with pictures of us in day and night outfits. I'm only posting the spread on the blog. For the rest, you will have to see the magazine itself. Photography, layout, writing and editing by me.

Venting Out

Today I was practically kicked out from the classroom where I take the creative shots for our yearbook. I was really annoyed this afternoon especially at how some of the people treated me while I was doing my job. I do not mean to point at anyone, but I felt very much mistreated. The conflict basically revolved around the fact that during the times I used the classroom for the creative shots, I failed to put the chairs back in order and therefore that class was the one blamed for everything. Now, I dont deny anything. It was 100% my fault and I apologize for that. Whats really getting into my nerves though is how they got this so called "conflict" through me. I felt that the approach of some were really rude and disrespectful. All they could do was shout out loud while I was in the classroom telling us to "clean up after because we're getting blamed for YOUR mess!" This didnt only happen once. I was constantly being reminded during my stay there as if I'm stupid and couldnt comprehend.

What added to this was when I heard that I was actually BANNED from using the classroom. Seriously? After I take ALL your creative shots I'm going to be banned from using the classroom? All I replied to Steph after she talked to me about it was that "this is our last day anyway."

But seriously. What am I? Someone who has to beg to have privilege over the classroom? I'm not doing this for myself. The sole reason I wanted to use that classroom was actually so that everyone I shot in the batch would actually look GOOD because of the lighting. I just felt really disrespected at how some treated me. The least you could do was talk to me face to face and ask me to clean up because of the circumstances. Blame me, but dont disrespect me.

Finally, I am not starting an outrage here. I dont want any flames with anyone. As I've said, I am just speaking my mind and I had to let it all out. As a yearbook photographer, all I ask for is respect. I dont think I've mistreated anyone since the beginning of the photoshoots and I just ask that you treat me the same way I've treated you. I've been nothing but nice in giving everyone all the chances they can get to have a good yearbook shot so I would appreciate a little kindness as well.
