I was inspired by Korean fashion today so I went for that get-up.

Today's outfit was mainly inspired by Sandara Park from the new girl group "2ne1" (21). I just really adore them. Their outfits are just so unique, colorful, and loud which makes them such good scene stealers. Once you set your eyes on any of them, you cant keep them off. The outfits make you want to stare and inspect each and every detail of each piece of clothing. To me, their style is an art. Looking at their clothes alone already entertains, what more when they actually perform?

Sandara Park actually "originated" from the Philippines. She became famous cause of Star Circle Quest (which I've always wanted to join!) and she was an actress and singer here for several years before she actually started this girl group in Korea. I've been following her TV show (2ne1 TV) in Korea and she once mentioned that she misses the Philippines and her friends back here and as much as she wants to go back, she couldnt because she has to first work hard in Korea to be successful in her new role as a member of 2ne1.

This was her before: (During her auditions in SCQ! HAHAHAHA ITS SO FUNNY)

..and this is her now :)

What a change, right? Anyway, thats all for now. I'm out. Ciao!

Sometimes, I just feel really good about well, being my size. I usually can manage to fit into anything (except of course unless they're MODEL size.) and make it look good. I had this "feel good" realization a while ago when I went to the mall.

Topshop was obviously the first stop as usual and I found an amazing little black dress at 70% off. It was the last piece (yeah, it wasnt one of those overstocks they had which were on the sale racks for practically forever. It was actually the first time I saw that dress.) and I thought it was cute so I tried it on. Its was a laced tube LBD and I thought it looked gorgeous. At first, I thought it wouldnt fit me since it was a size 10, but to my belief, it did! What was even better was that from PHP 3,800, it went down to PHP 599. What a sale right? Still, nothing beats that girl on Chictopia who was able to find a top which was originally 4k and went down to 50 pesos at Rustans. Who the hell finds tops for 50 at Rustans?!

I guess I could say that I'm glad I'm just a medium because if I were too small, then most clothes would be too loose and if I were too big, then most clothes would be too tight. (I mean, if I were a small I wouldnt have been able to buy that dress, right?)

Anyway, this was what was served for dinner (mom didnt cook any of these. relatives coming over was a super last minute thing so we just bought food instead):

I managed to wear my Hanes shirt today since my dad didnt come with us to the mall. (I'm allowed to wear it as long as he's not there). Those sunglasses were the sunglasses I ordered online. Apparently, they're not as half tinted as what it was stated in the site. That's whats bad about online shopping, you never know what to expect because pictures can really make things look different. Atleast I didnt spend much for them, and hey, they still look good anyway.

I think this outfit would look better with a fedora, yes?

If I were to have a daily uniform, something I would wear every day for my whole life and not get sick of, this would be it:

The outfit comes down with a total amount of PHP 178,110 or $3562. (Sorry, but the Chanel and the Christian Loubutin obviously made a big impact on the price. Hahaha). To see the break down of the prices, see my polyvore at http://www.polyvore.com/uniform/set?id=10658677.

After the career guidance period we had a while ago, I suddenly got confused on what course to take.

Originally, I was already serious on my path of Architecture but there was something with Ms. Mildred's powerpoint that got me thinking. This specific point was when she mentioned that the career we should take should be something we like. Something we're good at. Something we have the talent for. The first thing that came into my head was fashion and design. Obviously I have the passion for that career. I know I will do well in it and that I will have fun pursuing it, but there is some kind of barrier which keeps me away from this career.

My heart says fashion but my head says architecture. As of now, I am questioning so much things. As much as I want to pursue fashion, there are several things that are bothering me about the industry.

First of all, as I always say, noone really gets rich for being a designer or whatnot. If I choose this career, I may enjoy everything about it, but there will just be such a small chance of me being successful in it. Considering all the fashion designers nowadays, it will be really hard to compete with them. Also, fashion (especially here in our third world country) isnt that popular. People like going around in jeans and a shirt. Basically, I cant assure success if I go into this career. Being on the subject of architecture on the other hand, has more benefits especially since only a few are able to graduate with degrees in this career. Also, it is a very complex course so graduating from such will bring big respect to my career.

Second, as much as I love fashion, I just find it so unstable. You never know what's going to happen to your business unlike in architecture wherein the things you create are TIMELESS. As what they say in Project Runway, "One day you're in, the next day you're out." Fashion takes a lot of hard work and creativity. You always have to look for new ideas since according to Karl Lagerfeld, fashion is so ugly that we have to change it every how many months.

In architecture, buildings are created which never really go out of trend. You wont always have to keep up with the trends because no matter what, houses and industrial buildings will always be classics. Also, unlike fashion, houses and shelters, to be specific, are a necessity. Fashion is basically a luxury.

From the beginning, I have always thought that architecture was going to be it. But now, I am left in a puzzled state. Should I choose the career I love and adore? Or should I choose the career that I know will put me in a stable position after I graduate?

Time is running short and I have to come up with a decision sooner or later because after all, all of this decision making will determine my future.

I ordered another something from Multiply last Thursday. Its a pair of sunglasses made after the increasingly popular Chanel 5018 half tinted sunnies.

Photobucket

Lately, Mary-Kate Olsen and Nicole Richie have been seen sporting these babies. The Chanel 5018 made its debut in the Spring/Summer collection of 2007. It's been a while, yet its only becoming popular now. The impact that celebrities can make on the fashion industry, eh?

Photobucket

They usually retail at $475 but I got mine for so much less because they were just inspired by the design and obviously not branded Chanel.

What got me with this pair was the unique-ness of it. You dont normally see sunglasses that are half tinted so I was really astounded by it. I'm not exactly about the practicality when it comes to things like this. As long as they're one of a kind (and RARE), I dont really care if it fits me well or not. Haha!

Aw, I cant wait till the package comes. I already wanna see the actual piece!

Sorry about this post, but its going to be one MESSY one. Get a first hand look at my dresser only here at my blog.

Photobucket
Photobucket

THIS was my dresser BEFORE I did this project. Its a Home Economics project we have wherein we have to clean a certain area of our house using the 5-S Philosophy (Sort, Set things in Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain! -- I officially memorize it now!). We had to document it and write a reflection paper about it and since I already had the pictures, I thought, why not post them up on my blog?

I know right, my dresser was the perfect place to do this project. Before going into any further details, I would just like to appologize for what I was wearing. I wasnt originally going to post these on my blog so I wasnt exactly that well groomed. I seem so stressed in the pictures. I think its the cleaning.

Anyway, I started out SORTING the stuff I thought werent useful anymore and those which I was unsure about. (I didnt have a "STAY" box like what miss had because there were too much things that had to stay and they definitely werent going to fit in one small box)

Photobucket

I found this project really amusing not only because I was able to get rid of all these clutter on my dresser that I havent been using for years but also because I was able to find old things that I used to collect when I was a kid such as these teddy bear collectibles that came with those Yan Yan snack packs before.

Photobucket
Photobucket

I was also able to find this keychain with a picture of me, my mom, and my sister in it. I was around Grade 4/5 during this time and wow, I look so different!

Photobucket

Anyway, after clearing out all the unecessary items I had, I started to fix the stuff that were to stay in my dresser.

They're so PINK !

The accessory I can never live without: SUNGLASSES!

Photobucket
and last but not the least, my earrings. (Though I never use them because I only use one pair of earrings for all occassions)

I really dont go for fancy earrings. I dont know, maybe I was really just not made for them.

Photobucket

After fixing everything (and cleaning, ofcourse), I finally arranged everything in its place. And.. TADA!

Boy does that look so much better than a while ago!

We went to Subic yesterday to pick my sister up and also have our little family gathering. I drove going there from the NLEX! It was the first time for us to pass the SCTEX and I must say, its BEAUTIFUL. The scenery is just so amazing. If you drive there, you wont feel like you're driving at all.

Photobucket

Anyway, we stayed at Anvaya Cove. It's a resort/country club 30 minutes away from Subic. Their new recreational areas are actually up now. The last time we went there, they didnt have the pool and the new buildings yet so it's good that the construction is finally done. Now the kids have more things to do.

I really thought that their pool was fabulous. It was HUGE and it had different things going on. There was a kiddie area, a jacuzzi, a lap pool, one with the fountain stuff.. and yeah. All that put in one whole pool design. It was pretty cool.

That's my sister, my tito, and my cousins playing on the beach.

The beach was right beside the pool and there were tables along the shore. We stayed there and left our stuff on the tables until it started to rain. My family and I were having lunch at the restaurant when it started raining so me and my cousin had to run from the resto all the way to the beach to help save our stuff.

Photobucket
(And this is me after getting horribly wet. We put all the things under this hut so nothing got wet.)

I wasnt supposed to swim (I had to study so much things!) but since I already got drenched in water, I had no other choice but to swim anyway.

By the way, this is what I had for lunch:

Photobucket
What's on the plate: Roast beef, squid salad, dumpling, potato salad, pasta, shrimp paste on bread, and that thing on a stick.. I forgot what you call it.

I didnt get to take pictures of the dessert anymore. I had dessert right after running through the pouring rain so remembering to take pics was out of the question.

I played beach volley with my little cousins and my other tito. It was all the boys against me. It was a very sad game. HAHAHA.

Photobucket

That's about it. Till next time!

Photobucket
What I wore: Top from GAP Kids (Its an XXL =))), Necklace given by my tita, Slippers from Havaianas, Bag from no brand borrowed from mom, Shorts from Buffalo.

I wore the skirt today! I wore it out with my parents to watch Hannah Montana (because my sister abandoned me for Subic :| ). I wore it with a blazer while at the mall though the colors look brighter without it.

Photobucket

This outfit was created in a span of literally TWO minutes. I was originally wearing a white Hanes shirt but my dad told me to change it because it was an undershirt. He hates that shirt with all his life. We'd argue about it 24/7 whenever he sees me wearing it. He said I should just go buy another better fitting white shirt. (But in my opinion, I dont need to. Dont all white shirts look the same?)

Photobucket
What I wore: Necklace given by Danica, Top from Bayo, Skirt from Poison Berry, Shoes from Possibility, Bag from Coach, Blazer from Kamiseta.
