New Year's Resolutions

Tonight I am not feeling that sentimental to make a recap of the year 2009. Instead, I will be typing down my resolutions for the year 2010.

Photobucket

- LOSE WEIGHT. I couldnt stress this point even more. I think this has been my resolution for the past 10 years of my entire life yet nothing is happening. But I swear, this time I'll stay true to my word. I guess last year I was just too busy with college reviews and fashion school. I didnt have enough time and focus to attend dance class (which was a routine I did every summer) which is why the fat just kept accumulating. This year, I promise to really work it out and make sure I'm fit by college. Besides, the Batch2010 Boracay getaway is coming so I really need to get that body ASAP!

Photobucket

- Improve my language skills. I was never good in writing, which is why I express myself mostly through pictures. In 2010 I should atleast be able to read two good books to somehow better my manner of writing. Preferably Book Thief and the other I dont know yet.. any suggestions?

Photobucket

- Earn and save more. Last year I was able to achieve my financial goal so this year I'm planning to turn it up a notch. It doesnt really matter how I fulfill these goals ( I didn't exactly SAVE money in 2009.. I'm only able to accomplish my "saving" goal cause I'm depositing a big part of my Christmas money in my ATM). As long as by the end of 2010 I reach my goal amount of savings and earnings I'm good to go.

Photobucket

- Increase the hits on my blog. This will probably include creating better, more interesting blog posts and plugging in my blog on a variety of other websites.

Photobucket

- Develop a healthy eating habit. I have an eating problem. My batchmates and the people who are close to me are very familiar of this problem. I tend to stuff everything I see in my mouth and even though I'm already full, I still keep on eating until I finish off everything that is available. Its sort of an overdose binging kind of thing. I've already sought help from some classmates. I plan to get rid of this eating sickness as soon as possible and I will really put my will into destroying this habit of mine.

Photobucket

- Cherish every moment of my days in highschool and enjoy what college has to offer. One day we're all going to go back to our high school days where everything was less complicated and we may or may not regret the things we were and werent able to do. Hopefully I will be able to make good use of the next few months to come and make sure that I leave highschool happy and contented.

Photobucket

- Be closer to my grandma. Because of the busy schedule in school, and sometimes also because of laziness, I very seldom visit my grandma. She's always alone in her house and I know that she could really use the company. I will do my best to devote time and effort to see her this year because I know that that would make her happy. Also, I am one of the lucky few who still have some of their grandparents. I shouldnt take this fact for granted and I should spent time with them while they are still on Earth.

The small (maybe crazy) things to accomplish in the year 2010:
- Go to the Wowowee Studio w/ Kathleen to watch Wowowee and go wild in the audience and hopefully be discovered afterwards. (+1 if we get discovered)
- Audition for Star Magic
- Get a driving license
- Do a full room clean-up
- Get rid of old clothes & sell them for profit!
- Catch up with old friends
- Make a stand in college :)

Alas, just a little comic I would like to share with you guys before the year ends =)

Birthday !

Photobucket

Today I celebrate my 17th birthday. I am getting so old! Well, atleast I can already get my license.

My celebration wasnt exactly what I expected. I was able to do the things I wanted to do, but my family wasnt with me the entire time. The only one who stood by me was my sister since my parents were sort of busy. I was out the whole day and towards the end of the day I started getting stressed.

The outfit by the way isnt the cutesy outfit as I've mentioned in my previous post. For some reason, I threw the pink cardigan I was supposed to wear in the clothes hamper and I only realized it the morning after so I decided not to go after it anymore. Instead, I wore this colorful Mango dress which I think is soo perfect for celebrating my birthday! Its vibrant colors definitely scream out celebration!

What I Wore: Dress from Mango, White strappy heels from People are People, Unknown brand bag borrowed from mom.

And so, I spent my birthday having a lunch buffet at Renaissance followed by some shopping at Greenbelt after. I got these pretty cool sunglasses from Aldo which are so reminiscent of CL of 2ne1! (HAHAHA obviously I'm still not over it!)

Photobucket

There are also these booties from Aldo which I am contemplating on whether to buy. I am leaning on buying it, though. I think I deserve to a birthday gift to myself especially after the events that happened today! I'm going to give it some time first to see if I really want it.

Ah, a New Year is about to come. Are you ready for this?
SEE YOU ALL TOMORROW AKA NEW YEAR'S EVE!

P.S
my site will be undergoing construction soon. just a change of header and profile for the upcoming year =) BYE!

Back to Basics

My outfit today was originally supposed to be under the definition of "sweet and preppy". I was in a cute skirt and some white strappy heels. Apparently, my dad can't only dictate what I eat. From today onwards, he can already impose on the clothes I wear.

He goes on saying that I'm too dressed up and I should only be wearing flats since we're just going to be in The Fort and what not when in fact, im sure he only imposed on me because he was so casually dressed and he'd look undressed beside me. In my opinion though, there should be no limitations in fashion. Fashion is my way of expressing myself and it sucks to have people restricting me from these things.

What I Wore: Thrifted Alternative Earth shirt, Shorts from Bench, Shoes from Converse, Bag from Mango.

And so, this is what I wore instead. It's very laidback and if I removed the accessories, I'd probably look like I were just chilling at home. Dad said it looked better than the outfit I wore before that, but trust me, it doesnt. I'm wearing the other outfit tomorrow and you guys just see for yourselves.

Two hours till my birthday!

Birthday Date

Photobucket

It's two days till I turn 17 so Ji and I decided to celebrate my birthday today. We went to Tagaytay and had lunch in Sonya's Garden. We got there at around 2pm so we had to wait for a table. While waiting, we decided to look around and take pictures.

Once we were lead to our table, we started with the course. It was a sit-down eat all you can. We were served with basic food except there were a variety of topings you can add on them. We didnt go for second servings though cause we were so full! Food was delicious though! Really worth it!

Afterwards we went around the garden more. It's so beautiful especially the sunflower garden! I love it there!

The ambiance of the place was really romantic. In fact, around three couples were having their wedding receptions when we were there.

Anyway, by the time we were done with lunch, it was already around 3pm. I wanted to go and look for thrift shops and so we went to the Tagaytay circle. We then spent the rest of our time in the thrift shops but I only bought one thing. It was so EXPENSIVE!! The dresses I usually buy in the thrift shop I frequent in Manila are only 50 pesos ($1) but I bought one today for 130 pesos (around $3). The rest were just really expensive so I didnt wanna buy anything else.

I had to be home by 7 so we left the thrift shops at 5. We were supposed to go around Tagaytay more but figured we'd be home late if we did. Today was really an enjoyable day though despite the time constraint! It was a great way to celebrate my birthday & I am more than happy that we had this =)

Photo Dump

These are just random photos I took with my phone which I'd like to share with everyone. I look haggard in most of them because well, basically these are all the behind the scenes pictures.

Shopping today w/ mom and sis. Went to Zara to get this top that my aunt gave me for christmas exchanged since its a size small. I've been getting all her gifts for the past years exchanged since she's been giving me size smalls. I really hate small sizes cause they're so tight fit. When will she ever accept the fact that I am not a small? Hahaha!
Really funky leggings over at American Rag!!! I SUPER LOVE THEM. They're amaazee. They remind me of the jeans that Sandara wore in one of their performances!
Candie's in Festival! Our country is starting to progress with all the new shops coming in! Accessorize, Candie's, and even Hermes! Then next year we'll be having Forever21 and Payless Shoes! wowowoww!

I'm super drooling for these shoes! Gucci boots at Tutto Moda. =)

The first bump I ever made on my car!
My sister and I on Christmas day.
A whole body picture of the outfit I wore a few days ago.
Experimenting with the polaroid/fish eye effect with my sister

Funky earrings! Only bought them for 100 pesos ($2) in a random stall. My outfit for that day was CL inspired and I never really invested on earrings so I thought I'd get myself some!
Sorry for the eyebags, the holidays have been doing things to me. Last night for example, I slept at 3am watching SCQ Reload (I was reliving my childhood memories). I had to get up at 10 to go to mass and from then on I was out the whole day. Went to Festi, then MOA, then we had a dinner in Imus Cavite at around 7 till 10. Tomorrow, I'll be going out with Ji to Tagaytay. I think I should get a good night's rest especially since I've been lacking sleep. Till next time!

Somebody To Love

Paris, France to Michigan
London town and through Berlin
I can’t believe this place I’m in
Everywhere and back again
Photobucket

Porcelain and China dolls
Give me one and I’ve seen them all
Got my back against the wall
Wonder where I’ll be tomorrow?

But wait, now how long could this take?
It’s hard to find a man,
When you’re gone before he wakes.

I search around the world
But I can’t seem to find
Somebody to love
Photobucket

I know it's hard to achieve but
Photobucket

Can't a girl believe?

A little editorial shoot I did with my little sister on Christmas day. Credits to Leighton Meester's song, Somebody To Love, for the lyrics.

Doggone Christmas

Photobucket

The title speaks for itself. Not because it was a crazy christmas, but because we celebrated it with the cutest dogs ever.

Two of our relatives both got new dogs and we (the kids) were just all so excited to see them. The poodles in the pictures are Leche and Latte. Obviously, Leche is the gold one while Latte is the brown.

(that's my 5 year old cousin wearing my heels. like me, she likes getting her pictures taken. haha!)

From Magallanes, we proceeded to Ayala for dinner where our hearts melted for the cutest puppy! Her name is Maki and she's a Cotton De Tulear. I absolutely fell in love the moment I saw her! She looked like a stuffed toy!

We basically spent this Christmas the usual way. It went by so fast though. It came and went without me even really feeling it. Nevertheless, I still enjoyed because I was able to spend it happily with my family.

Til next time!
